Our unique trekking experiences at Brahan showcase the very best of the Scottish highlands, offering an incredible variety of landscapes, scenery, and riding opportunities throughout the year.
Set within a working highland estate, riders can explore vast stretches of open farmland and countryside. In autumn, the landscape transforms into a rider's paradise, with exhilarating rides across expansive stubble fields that seem to stretch endlessly across the estate.
Brahan is also home to beautiful areas of ancient policy woodland, featuring a rich variety of mature trees and remarkable examples of historic arboreal planting. During summer months, the estate comes alive with vibrant displays of flowering rhododendrons, creating a truly iconic highland setting.
Our routes combine quiet stretches of roadwork that connect an extensive network of off-road tracks, allowing riders to experience the diverse and ever-changing landscape. We can also meander along the picturesque banks of the river Conon, taking in the tranquillity and natural beauty of the area.
No two rides at Brahan are ever quite the same. With countless route options, breathtaking scenery, and access to some of the finest countryside the highlands have to offer, every trek promises a memorable and rewarding experience. We are proud to be able to cater for riders of all abilities, from complete beginners enjoying their first experience on horseback to more experienced riders looking for a faster paced adventure.
Our dedicated team of knowledgeable staff, combined with our skilled and versatile horses, allows us to tailor each trek to the individual needs and expectations of our guests. we understand that every rider is different, and we work hard to ensure that everyone gets the most from their time in the saddle.
One of the unique advantages of our trekking experiences is our ability to accommodate mixed ability groups. whether you are riding with friends or family who have different levels of experience, or are a single rider booked into a larger group, we can ensure that everyone feels safe, confident, and comfortable throughout the ride.
During our treks, groups can be split where appropriate, allowing more experienced riders to enjoy a faster pace while others continue at a relaxed and enjoyable speed for them.
Our horses are accustomed to this flexible approach, enabling all riders to experience the trek at a pace that suits them best.
